These bola pendant necklaces (also known as harmony ball, belly ball, angel whisperer/caller, chime ball) are an Indonesian tradition, used by mothers-to-be to soothe the baby while he's in the womb. A chiming ball (order separately, see drop down list) is placed within the pendant and the movement of it close to the belly allows the baby to hear the subtle sound and is therefore calmed. The relaxing sound can also soothe the mother, and it is also said to call your guardian angel in order to protect you.
Another use for these necklaces is as an aromatherapy essential oil diffuser. Each necklace comes with a ball of felt inside which you can add your chosen oils to. You can also purchase 10 more felt balls separately.
